ID Remarks: Neosprucea is a good suggestion, as it has the gestalt of that genus, with thick sepals and numerous, bright yellow stamens. However, Neosprucea has linear anthers with +/- poricidal dehiscence and are usually 4-merous. This species, Prockia pentamera, is quite rare, limited to the seasonal forests of N Peru and S Ecuador.
